Dallas Stars: From Office to Game Night
Of all the teams I like to style NHL apparel for, the Dallas Stars are definitely my favorite. Why? Because I love the various shades of green out there that can compliment the masculine green.
My favorite of the greens is definitely mint green.
When I went out to watch the Dallas Stars in 2013, I wore a similar wool coat as the one shown below in mint green from J. Crew. It is one of my favorite coats [you can find similar here]. I coupled it with a mint green Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC. Actually, that Mini MAC is tied into my memories of my visits to Dallas because I saw that bag in Wintermint for the first time in one of the shops there. I had to own it.
Now let’s talk about those shoes! Green animal print heels. While Giuseppe Zanotti is the high end, I did find something similar on the low end from AMI Clubwear.
What I like about this look is that you can go from the office to the game in these pieces and still look very chic. If you can’t wear sports apparel at the office, substitute in a green blouse underneath your blazer and you’re still representing the home team when you head to the game.
Unfortunately, for plus sizes, I haven’t been able to find any Dallas Stars plus size clothing (what’s up with that?). As for the mint coat, that is a little more difficult to come by, but I did find that ASOS has a mint green long cardigan. I also found this super adorable green coat from ModCloth (from XS to 4X).
As for the bag, while you can find various shades of green, especially mint green, you won’t be able to purchase a bag that looks like the Balenciaga Agneau. You’ll have to settle for the real thing. Rest assured, you can still find a few under $1k at places like Fashionphile.com.
