In the last of the player appearances at the NHL store this week during the NHL media tour, Patrice Bergeron (Boston Bruins) stopped in to unveil the launch of the new NHL 15 game. Along with Patrice, Mike “Doc” Emrick and Eddie Olczyk (who appear as the broadcasters in the game) joined in the ceremonial ribbon cutting for the NHL 15 game.
The game will be available for purchase and to play in the store for the next year.
While at the store, Bergeron met his first opponent. A young Bruins fan. One player chose the New York Rangers, the other chose the Boston Bruins.
Of note in this game, Doc mentioned that you need to watch the fans in the audience during the game. EA Sports did an excellent job mimicking what you would see at any NHL game, all the way down to an opposing fan cheering in an arena and the home team’s fan turning around and giving them a disgusted look. You’ll even find the vendors sitting down at the end of an aisle taking in the game.
I have to say, the audience looks very much like we’d see at a regular game.
The game went on sale today, so get it now and play to your heart’s content.
